NY to tap Common-Core foe as new state chancellor

Wall Street Journal, 3/4/2016

Betty Rosa, a former superintendent of schools in the Bronx, is expected to be voted chancellor of the New York Board of Regents this month.

Rosa has stated that she thinks the Common Core standards and assessments are based on incomplete, manipulated data. “They are using false information to create a crisis, to take the state test and turn it on its head to make sure the suburbs experience what the urban centers experience: failure,” she said.
